Welcome to Digital Library

Digital Library allows you to search the digital collections held at the University of Canterbury Library.

The Digital Collections

  • Archives. This collection contains the full text of inventories that describe the contents of some of our archives collection. While the physical items need to be viewed at the Macmillan Brown Library, the inventories are an important tool to help find what the Library has.
  • Art Works. The University owns a number of art works. Some can be viewed through Digital Library.
  • Reports of Law Reform Committees. The full text of various reports of Law Reform Committees.
  • Photographs. The Library owns a large number of historic photographs, a number of which can be viewed here.
  • Springbok Tour. After the 1981 tour, the English Department at UC solicited opinions for and against the tour. Those opinions were gathered to form a unique archival collection (Archives Reference: MB 162) which is digitally represented here, in its entirety - names of authors, and other private information, have been removed. The original record is held at UC's Macmillan Brown Library.
